Starbucks to Seize Multi-Billion Dollar Cold Coffee Market

On Tuesday, May 31st, Starbucks Corporation announced a new line of cold brew beverages that will become the groundwork for a new “cold bar” of coffee and espresso products. This nitrogen-infused version of its cold brew coffee aims to capitalize on the explosive growth in chilled coffee drinks. This summer, the cold brew will become available at more than 500 Starbucks stores including in Portland, Ore., Seattle, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The expanded “cold bar” menu includes: Cold Brew, Cold Brew with Vanilla Sweet Cream, Nitro Cold Brew, Traditional Iced Coffee, Starbucks Doubleshot on Ice and Caramel Iced Macchiato.
