On July 14th, 2016, fashion brand,
Eileen Fisher, announced that it will be hosting its first ever pop-up retail
shop in New York City. The shop will be open July 23rd-24th
and the 30th-31st. It is hosted at Glass House in
Brooklyn and will feature the exclusive launch of “Remade in the USA,” a
limited-edition 500-piece collection created by the CFDA Social Innovator Award
Winners. The CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) and Eileen Fisher
co-created the award to give fashion design students the opportunity to work
with brands and social consciousness teams. The winners then took part in a one
year residency project to create commercially viable ways to make clothing from
damaged clothes gathered from the GREEN EILEEN initiative. Each piece is unique
and one of a kind, created through a number of different techniques and
featuring iconic Eileen Fisher patterns.
The shop will be selling these pieces as well as regular Eileen Fisher
pieces.
